Off we go for a short weekend with Rapido in the Ardèche region! We spent two nights at the Huttopia Le Moulin campsite in Saint-Martin d’Ardèche, right by the water. A very large and beautiful spot reserved at the last minute for the August 15th weekend! Almost alone! A private beach, breakfast service, a small pool, a little grocery store, a laundry room, a simple campsite just the way we like it—without too many people and, most importantly, quiet!

During this weekend, we visited the Saint-Marcel cave, which is absolutely magnificent with its natural pools and sound and light show! One of the most beautiful caves we have visited in France. The only downside is that there are only two spots designated for motorhomes in the parking lot! Of course, you can park with the cars, but in peak season, it’s nearly impossible!

The visit continued with the very charming stone village of Aiguèze! A true postcard village with small alleys, stone houses, ivy, flowers, and a magnificent view overlooking the gorges!

Aiguèze also has direct access to the river and a large motorhome area with a view of the vineyards. For 5 euros, you can spend the night there; it’s free during the day.

Throughout your walk in the village, you will discover numerous artisans, shops, and restaurants.
